Handmade products from Lebanon

Inflation is so high in Lebanon that many artisans are unable to maintain their jobs and sell their products locally. For example, it costs potter Khaled half a month's salary to heat his kiln once, as electricity and gasoline must be paid in US dollars, while he only receives Lebanese Lira for local sales of his pottery. This is why The -able works with local artisans and supports them to sell internationally and earn foreign currency so they can continue to support themselves and their families. Products in this category are made by talented artisans who are either internally displaced in Lebanon or by Syrian and Palestinian artisans living in Lebanon.

We are always looking for new meaningful collaboration partners and ideas for products. So if you know an NGO that we need to take a closer look at or if you miss a particular product, you are always welcome to contact us here
